Carl Edward Barnes was born March 25, 1925 in Blocker, Oklahoma and passed away November 4, 2015 in Humble, Texas at the age of 90. Carl is preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Barnes. He is survived by daughters, Helen Seidel and her husband John and Sherry Crysup and her husband Travis; grandsons, William Crysup, James Crysup and Adam Seidel and his wife Megan; granddaughters, Sabrina Seidel and Michelle Vance and her husband Buddy; great grandsons, Michael and Benjamin Seidel; sister, Sandra Brooks; and brothers Kenneth and Wayman Barnes. Carl is also preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Myrtie Mae Barnes; sisters, Goldie Hanson and Norma Jean Barr and brothers, Clerence and Jonnie Barnes. A funeral service was held at 11 am Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Darst Funeral Home in Kingwood, Texas with a reception following. Mr. Barnes will be buried at 3 pm Monday, November 9, 2015 at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Burnet, Texas.
