Donald Hester, 88, passed away peacefully at home on April 2, 2017.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Edgar & Jenkins Funeral Home, Burnet, Texas

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 6, 2017 at First Lutheran Church in Burnet with interment to follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park, Burnet, Texas. The

He married his wife Ruth on April 8, 1954 and together they raised 4 daughters.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents Luther and Mollie Hester; daughter, Rhonda Flowers; grandchildren, Elizabeth FitzSimon and Shelley FitzSimon; sisters, Louise Province, Frances Switzer and brother, Johnny Hester.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruth Hester; daughters, Lois FitzSimon and husband John, Sue Hanson and husband, Richard, Gaye Woodard and husband Preston; grandchildren, Taylor Flowers, Margarete White, Stephanie FitzSimon, John FitzSimon IV, Jennifer Riley, John Koch, Ashley Dunn and Kevin Knight; great grandchildren, Joslynn FitzSimon, Zayla FitzSimon, Devyn Frazier, Gage White, Gavan White, Gillian White; brothers, O. D. Hester and L. D. Hester.
