On Friday, April 22, 2016, Florence Anne Dippel Malitz passed away at the age of 96 at an Austin area hospital. She was born on June 30, 1919, in Brenham, Texas, to Annie Ustynik and Wilhelm Dippel. On May 20, 1938, she married Robert Charles Malitz, III in Houston, Texas. They were married 66 years until his death in 2005.
She was an active member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Marble Falls for many years. She and Robert enjoyed many miles of driving trips across the US. In recent years, her real joy was a boat ride on Lake LBJ and spending the day outside at the lake with her family.
She is survived by daughters Sally Jones (Ron) of Ft. Collins, CO and Nancy Bennett of Burnet, TX and son John Malitz (Claudia) of San Antonio, TX as well as grandchildren Chris Jones (Jana), Steve Jones, Matt Jones (Lesley), Rhonda Bennett Posey(Allen), Ryan Malitz (Lauren), Stephanie Malitz Mitchell (Jimmy) and Natalie Malitz Brown (Tim) and 15 great grandchildren with number 16 on the way.
A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 1:00 pm at St. Peter s Lutheran Church, 1803 FM 1431, Marble Falls, Texas.
