Obituary

Mary Ola (Taylor) Turner passed away on March 4, 2017 in Marble Falls, Texas. She was born on March 16, 1923 in Abilene, Texas to Rev. W.I. Taylor and Myrtle Taylor.
She was the second of four children who all preceded her in death; Connell Taylor, Patsy Landers, and Glenn Taylor.

She married H.N. Turner in 1941. Five children were born to their union. Mary graduated high school from Tuscola, Texas and attended Hardin Simmons University in Abilene. She was preceded in death by H.N. In 1997, and daughter, Marylyn Martin, of Marble Falls in 2013.

Mary is survived by children, Monty(Buddy)Turner and wife Cathy of Kingsland; Steve Turner and wife Cindy of Kingsland; Candy Whitman and husband Mark of Marble Falls; Lucretia Crenwelge and husband Curtis of Salado, Texas.

She took pride also in her nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Always quick to say they were the smartest and best looking kids around!

At the time of her death, she was residing at Arbor House in Marble Falls, Texas. She previously lived around Abilene, Tx.; Bovina, Tx.; Kingsland, Tx., and Georgetown, Texas.

Mary enjoyed working in the yard, cooking, going to church, and singing in the choir. She worked various jobs in the community, including many years as secretary of the First Baptist Church in Kingsland. One of her greatest joys was cheering on any sporting event her children or grandchildren were playing in–especially football! She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church in Georgetown at the time of her death.
Mary was saved at an early age and baptized by her father, a Baptist minister. She remained strong in her faith to the very end.
