Morris Albert Upthagrove, 92, of Llano and Buchanan Dam, Texas passed away on November 8, 2014. He was born to Norton Albert and Nina (Lockhart) Upthagrove on February 9, 1922 in Torrington, Wyoming.

Morris proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After his discharge he was employed as an engineer last employed with Boeing Aviation. In his spare time he was involved with the EMS, church related activities,gardening, politics and served as a precinct chairman. He was a member of the Highland Lakes United Methodist Church at Buchanan Dam, Texas.

He is survived by a grandchildren, Gia Torres of Marble Falls, Texas, Kim Gaines, Maui, Hawaii, Brett Gaines, Amie Gaines, Alex Gaines all of Kauai, Hawaii, step-son, Steve Gaines of Kauai, Hawaii, great grandchildren, Jonah, Luke, Gabriel Torres, Hunter Trask, Cece Gaines and Nainoah Gaines, sisters, Betty Jo Hobbs and Erma Powan both of Goodman, Missouri.

Visitations will be held at the Putnam Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 9:00 a.m.to 5:00 p.m. to with the Services being held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend John Weston officiating. Burial following at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Burnet, Texas with the Highland Lakes Honor presiding over the flag presentation service.
