Obituary

Norma Jeanne Davis, 91, of Marble Falls passed away July 31, 2019. She was born to Percy and Mary Jane (Fambrough) Peterson on September 19, 1927 in Lamesa, Texas.

Jeanne grew up in the Lamesa, Texas area and graduated from Lamesa High School. She married her lifelong love, M.L. Davis on February 16, 1947. The two lovebirds left Lamesa in 1951 and settled in the Idalou, Texas community and lived on a cotton farm. They farmed cotton and ran a cotton gin until their retirement in 1992. Upon retiring, Jeanne and M.L. moved to the banks of Lake LBJ. Throughout their marriage they traveled extensively, from corner to corner of the United States, parts of Mexico, Alaska, and from Alaska to Maine. Many great months on the road and memories were made with their travel trailer in tow. Jeanne was a very talented seamstress, she made her daughters clothing and dresses for many years as they grew up. The girls would spot a dress at the store that they liked, and Jeanne could fabricate a replica with the utmost skill and love. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and would pickle, can and bake for her family and friends. Her pecan pie was second to none and will be missed by her family.

Jeanne leaves behind her steadfast and loving husband of seventy-two years, M.L. Davis of Marble Falls, Texas; daughters, Beverly Parker and husband Don of Georgetown, Texas, and D'Aun Weaver and husband Stan of Kingsland, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kimberly Rose, Matthew Weaver and wife Kendell, Alex Weaver and J.T. Weaver and wife Coley, numerous friends and extended family members also survive.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Don Peterson; sister, Mary Ann Holladay, and her grandson, Chad Rose.
