Roy Lee Motley, 86 of Marble Falls, Texas, passed away on December 15, 2016. He was born to Charles Omar and Mayme (Alford) Motley on September 30, 1930 in Hubbard, Texas.

Roy graduated from Hubbard Texas High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1954. Roy worked for Union Carbide Chemical Corporation near Port Lavaca, Texas where he retired as a Shift Production Leader and Emergency Director after thirty-one years. He served additional three years as head of site security. Roy and his wife, Rita, ran a small cattle ranch and raised Appaloosa horses. He was a Baptist deacon for over sixty years, twenty years in the Baptist Royal Ambassador Boy's Program as a counselor, a Regional Director and on the Texas Baptist Men's Disaster Relief Program

Roy is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Rita, of Marble Falls, Texas, son, Daniel (Red) Motley and his wife Lisa of New Braunfels, Texas, grandchildren, Mahon and Audra Motley, sister, Katherine Miller Vaughn and her husband, Clovis, of LaGrange, Texas. Nephew, Tommy Millerand niece Sandy Oatman. Also surviving are great nieces and nephews.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Russell Motley.

A memorial service is planned for 2:30 o'clock P.M., Sunday, December 18, 2016, at the First Baptist Church, 3435 W Ranch Road 1431, Kingsland, TX 78639. Reverend Bubba Stahl will officiate. An online register can be found at www.PutnamCares.com.
