Obituary

Ruby Lura (Phenix) Mohan died peacefully on June 9, 2016 at the age of 89 surrounded by family and friends.
Ruby was born on October 7, 1926 in Fort Worth, TX to Herbert Phenix and Margaret Kane. The couple lived all over the United States and Europe while Bernie served in the US Air Force. Over the years, Ruby and Bernie welcomed 4 children into their lives. Her children and grandchildren remember her as a talented seamstress, an amazing baker and cook, a steadfast volunteer, and a woman dedicated to her Catholic faith. In her youth, she enjoyed fishing and hunting, while later in life, she enjoyed baking with her family, gardening, volunteering at church, and watching the Cowboys, Spurs, and Rangers.
She was a generous individual who loved her family, her friends, and her church. She was an active and dedicated member of the Altar Society at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Burnet.

Ruby is survived by her children, Bernard John Mohan, Jr. and wife Donna of Venice, FL; Timothy Mohan and wife Karen of Burnet; Kathleen Palmour and husband Stephen of Burnet; and son-in-law Steven Ham of Burnet.
