A proud Aggie, he obtained his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M in 1950. He loved to serve the church and worked with Odis Shaw to start a bussing system for Lakeside Baptist Church. He drove one of the buses for 8 years. He was a member of the IEEE for many years and had a Professional Engineers License. He represented the Electric Reliability of Texas on the National Electric Reliability Council for several years. Ted made a member of ETA KAPA NU Association, honor society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, in 1967. Other memberships include The Downtown Optimist Club, of which he was a President, and the Lions Club.
